My new addiction...
...Guild Wars. Yes, it's a MMORPG. (That's a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game for any non-gaming-geeks reading this.) But there's no monthly fee. Yay!! I had to give up Final Fantasy XI because of monthly fees, so when my brother told me about this game, and then let me try his copy, I was happy. I love RPGs, but I'd never tried an online one.

It gave me a rush. A monster bashing, bandit smiting rush. XD

Anyway, I bought the Collector's Edition of the game for myself. (The access key was missing and it took me a while to get it exchanged but now it's fine!) So my brother and I can both play at the same time. Sadly, I had to start at the beginning again with a new character: Sakura Ame, currently a Level 9 Monk/Elementalist. And I'm still in pre-searing Ascalon which is apparently an oddity. o_o Whatever, I'm having fun helping people with quests, gathering salvage materials, and hunting Charr.

I've been lucky though, I've met nice people. Two in particular. (Strangely, we all play monks. ^_^;; ) They're part of the reason I'm so addicted to this game.

And of course there's the dancing... There are six professions in the game and each one does a different style of dancing when you preform the dance emote. Monks go through a martial arts inspired routine. Necromancers head bang. Warriors do some kind of 70's disco boogy. Mesmers... River Dance. Very entertaining to watch, especially when they do it in their underwear.

Uh... except the Necro males... Too pasty and sickly looking. >_<

Fansub update: viewing is on hold for all series except Loveless, Hachimitsu to Clover, and GSD while I wrestle with trying to bring my GW addiction under control! o_O
